VEEDERSBURG — Gordon Dice Minick, 76, of 712 Homestead St., died at 8:45 a.m. today in Veterans Hospital at Danville, Ill. where he had been a patient a week. He was a member of the Charles Forrest Post 288 and attended the First United Methodist Church. He was a retired employe of the Indiana Condensed Cream Co. He had served in France during World War I. Mr. Minick was born in Fountain County on Oct. 13, 1895, a son of Bert and Ellen Martin Minick. He was married to Beatrice Simmerman on Dec. 16, 1919 at Covington. Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Janett) Ellis of Western Springs, Ill., and Mrs. Blaine (Eloise) Towell of Prairie Village, Kans.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Hawes (Avolene) Dwinell of Indianapolis; a brother, George Minick of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Gross of Veedersburg and Mrs. Herman (Francis) Combs of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Parham Funeral Home here with Rev. Vernon Souder officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Military rites will be held at the graveside. Friends may call at the funeral home between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday.   --typed by Walt W
