VEEDERSBURG — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mitchell, former Veedersburg resident, were held Saturday afternoon, Sept. 4, at the Hippensteel Funeral home in Lafayette. Mrs. Mitchell, a native of Fountain County, died Thursday at her home in Lafayette. She was 70 years old and was the daughter of Henry and Phoebe Lawson. She was married to Karl Mitchell, who died two years ago. Surviving are: one son, Raymond of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Ted Seifert, also of Lafayette; and three brothers, Manford Lawson of Covington, John of Lafayette and Joe of Toppenish, Wash. Mrs. Irma Oilar of Veedersburg is a sister-in-law. --typed by Walt W
