MITCHELL, Helen Fable

Mrs. Helen Mitchell, 80, Cayuga, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, at Covington Manor Nursing Home where she had resided the past three and one-half years. She was the mother of Sally Ingle of RR 2, Covington.

  A life long resident of Cayuga, she was a bookkeeper for the Danville YWCA for 13 years and worked ten years as an Avon representative. Born October 6, 1903 in Cayuga, she was the daughter of Fred and Mollie Lshley Fable. On October 1, 1939, she married Howard Clinton Mitchell, who died in 1975.

  She was a member of Cayuga Presbyterian Church and Bethany Class Ladies Aid. She taught Sunday school at the church for several years.

  Other survivors include a stepson, Richard Mitchell of Escondido, California; two sisters, Hazel Fable and Annabelle Gibbs of Cayuga; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren and three nephews. A brother preceded her in death.

  Services were conducted Friday at Cayuga Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Irvin officiating. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery near Newport. DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. -s-
