Hillsboro - Robert Lee Mitchell, 68 of Hillsboro died at miidnight Thursday at Culver Union Hospital following a lengthy illness. He retired from harrison Steel Castings at Attica, where he worked in the shipping department. He was a life-long resident of the Wallace community and was educated there. He was born March 22, 1928, near Wallace in Fountain County to Claude and Jewel Clore Mitchell.  He married Betty Loraine Walker July 5, 1959 at Sterling, Ind. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diana Lynn Bair of Crawfordsville;  three sisters, Mrs. Mae Cork and Mrs. Geneva Ellingwood, both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Idell Ellingwood of Waynetown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Maus Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Harold Holt officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
