Walter Mitten of Attica died at Maris Hospital, Williamsport about 10 minutes before 10 o’clock Tuesday morning as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident about 8 o’clock Sunday evening.  The car in which Mitten was riding crashed into a coal truck parked about 60 roads (rods?) from the West Lebanon school on State Rd 63. He sustained a skull fracture and broken leg and was admitted to the hospital immediately following the accident.  Riding in the car with Mitten were Harold Maurier of West Lebanon who was badly cut and bruised and Lewis Bruce of Attica. The latter received a broken hip and several cuts and bruises and was removed to Home Hospital at Lafayette. – kbz
