MONTGOMERY, Lionel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lionel Montgomery of Mellott, age 57, died Tuesday evening, November 17, at his home. He was born at Louisville, January 26, 1924, the son of Sanford and Grace Wise Montgomery. October 16, 1943, he married Virginia J. Kessler, who survives.

 A member of St. Francis Xavier Church, he was employed as a welder at Harrison Steel Casting Company at Attica for 11 years prior to retiring.

  Also surviving are five daughters, Pam Cunningham of Louisville, Pat Mitchell of Crawfordsville, Linda McNew of Danville, Illinois, Suzy Gookings and Sandy Kennedy of Mellott; two sons, Douglas of Mellott and John of Georgetown, Illinois, a sister, Rita Lee Wright of Louisville; two brothers, Robert of Mellott and Ronald of Louisville; and 14 grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Maus Funeral Home to St. Francis Xavier Church for services Friday morning. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery. -s
