Mrs. Carson Moore, age 53, passed away at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at her home in Covington after an illness of more than a year. She was born Feb 28, 1893, near Covington, the daughter of Thomas and Emma Keefer. She lived all her life in or near Covington. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi sorority, the Wabash River Sketch Club and the Methodist Church. Mrs. Moore was ever ready in her charitable and unpretentious manner to help persons less fortunate. She prized friends highly and always had a friendly greeting and smile for everyone she met. The whole community is grieved by her loss. Mrs. Moore is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Betty Sowers of Terre Haute; a brother, Ray Keefer of Sterling; a sister, Mrs. George Brickwell of Berwyn and two grandsons, Jack and Bob Sowers. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley Funeral Home with Dr. Morris Morgan officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery. - kbz
