Waynetown, June 19 – Dennis Carlton Moore, 82, prominent Waynetown banker and landowner died at Culver Hospital SHRD, UPI did at Culver Hospital Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock following an illness of six months.  He had been a patient at the hospital for the past 15 days. Mr. Moore for many years had been active in community and the county affairs. At the time of his death he was president of the Waynetown State Bank. He was the owner of the Waynetown and Veedersburg elevators and was interested in other Waynetown businesses.  He also owned several farms. For the past 12 years he had been a member of the board of trustees of Culver Hospital and was intensely interested in the institution.  He and Mrs. Moore made a contribution of $20,000 to the hospital a few years ago. Mr. Moore was noted for his philanthropic activities which included gifts of $100 each annually to the three churches in Waynetown. The survivors include the wife, Mrs. Emma C. Moore; and brother, Walter Moore of Covington. A son died at the age of two months. Funeral services will be held at the family residence in Waynetown Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Gary Allbritten, assisted by Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will be in charge. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. – kbz
