MOORE, Mary E. Hodges

Mary E. Moore, daughter of Joseph and Mary E. Hodges of Hillsboro, Indiana was born near Hiseville, Kentucky April 4, 1889 and departed this life November 1, 1918.  She was united in marriage to Merle M. Moore of Waveland, Indiana, December 24, 1907. To this union was born one daughter, Edna F. Moore, October 30, 1908. The deceased was united with the Christian Church of Hillsboro, 15 years ago. She had been a resident of Crawfordsville for 12 years.  She is survived by her husband, daughter, father, mother, one sister, Ethel Hodges of Hillsboro, three brothers, Samuel G. Hodges, of Peoria, Illinois; Culbert T. Hodges now serving with the US Army oversea and Thurman R. Hodges of Linnsburg. She was a faithful and devoted wife a kind and loving mother, a loyal friend with a cheerful and kind greetig for all.  Her passing is a source of profound sorrow to her relatives and many friends.   --- transcribed by kbz
