ATTICA — Charles Mornout, 76, died at 8 a.m. Sunday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient since last Tuesday. Born in Warren County, he farmed in Fountain County until he retired in 1943. For the past two years he had made his home with his son, Richard, in Williamsport. He was married to Nettie VanDame in Attica in 1919 and she preceded him in death in 1942. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Moose and Eagles Lodges in Attica. Surviving besides the son is a daughter, Mrs. James Fix of Attica.   --typed by Walt W

ATTICA — Funeral services for Charles Mornout, age 84, who died at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, were held at 9 a. m. Tuesday at St. Francis Church here. The Rev. Charles Remaklus officiated. Burial, with the DeSutter Funeral Home in charge, was in St. Francis Cemetery at Attica. Mr. Mornout was born Nov. 30, 1888, in Warren County and he had resided most of his life in Fountain County. He had made his home with a son, Richard, in Williamsport the past two years. He was married Jan. 29, 1919, in Attica to Nettie VanDan, who preceded him in death Dec. 7, 1942. Surviving besides the son are: one daughter, Mrs. James Fix of Attica, and two grandchildren.   --typed by Walt W
