MORRAN, Allan D.

Allan D. Morran, 58, Danville, Ill., died 8 p.m. Tuesday in
Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Ill., where he had been
hospitalized for three weeks.

A former Covington resident, Mr. Morran was a laborer in
oil drilling. He attended Covington schools and received his
GED while serving in the Marine Corps from 1962-66.

He was born Sept. 9, 1945, at Bedford, to Aaron Dwight
and Margie A. Bennett Morran.

Survivors include his mother, Margie Adams, Danville, Ill.;
his wife, Barbara Ann Morran, Texas; a daughter, Misty
Morran, Arkansas; two brothers, Kevin, Cheyenne, Wyo.,
and Marc, Covington; and a sister, Armilda Schooler, El
Paso, Texas.

His father, a brother and a sister are deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Friday in Shelby
Funeral Home, 622 Third St., Covington, with the Rev.
Joseph Latson officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound
Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the
American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends
may call one hour prior to services Friday in the funeral
home.
