Carol Jo (Strawser)
Morris, 42, of Covington, died at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2000, 1 mile
west of Montgomery Co. (Hillsboro). Born on March 25, 1958 in Danville,
Illinois, she was the daughter of the James Leslie and Sylvia (Reismiller)
Strawser. She was a life resident of Covington and graduate from Covington High
School in 1976. She was employed at Vermilion County Abstract Co. in Danville
for 14 years and at Pace Dairy in Crawfordsville the past four years. Carol Jo
married Jerry A. Morris on September 11, 1999. He survives. Also surviving,
are: her mother, Sylvia Strawser Taylor of Covington; three brothers, Leslie
Edward Strawser of Covington, Alva B. “Butch” (Nancy) Strawser of Jacksonville,
Fla., and Wendall A. Strawser of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her
father and two brother, James D. Strawser and Dale Strawser. Visitation was
Thursday at Shelby Funeral Home. Service there on Friday with David R. Wickens
officiating. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – jlr
