Attica - William B. Munson, 79, 700 E. Jackson St, Attica died at 5:55 a.m. Sept 19, 1994 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been in failing health since May. He was born in Shawnee Twp, Fountain County May 3, 1915, son of Glen and Edna Bender Munson. He married Florence Elizabeth Brier, Jan 11, 1939 in Crawfordsville. She survives. He had lived at Rt 2, Attica over 50 years before moving to Attica in 1990. He was a 1933 graduate of Attica HS. He had farmed all his life and during WWII worked at Harrison Steel Castings Co, Attica. He retired from farming in 1990. He was a member of the Attica First United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Geen Hill Lodge #455 F&AM. He enjoyed fishing and reading books. Surviving besides the wife are a son, William R. Munson, Lafayette; two daughters, Marjorie Eberle, Peotone, Ill; Nancy (Ronald) Mills, Lowell; a sister, Mary Miller, Panama City, Fl; six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. WIlliam S. Munson who helped raise Bill and a brother, Charles. Funeral services wer eheld at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, at 1 pm. Wednesday with Rev. George Weister officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial may be made to Mary Margaret Hospice Care, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
