Covington Dec 17 – Mrs. Sarah Jane (Jennie) Murray, 79, was found dead in bed Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. FR Harden with whom she had made her home for several years.  She had been in failing health for some time.  Mrs. Murray was born in Hillsboro, Ill Aug 25, 1864, a daughter of David Stokes and Sarah Jane Hutchinson Clodfelter. On Oct 17, 1883 she was married to Timothy James Murray who preceded her in death.  Two children were born to them, Myrtle who died in infancy and Cecil with whom she made her home.  Mrs. Murray came to Covington about 50 years ago. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Pocohontas and Rebekah orders and the local Daughter of American Revolution. She was also a member of Covington Presbyterian Church and was to have served on the ladies aid committee which was to have met on the day of her death.  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Cecil Harden; one grandson, Capt. Murray E. Harden of Ft Breckenridge, Ky; one great granddaughter, Judy Harden. Also surviving are four half sisters. The funeral was held at the Harden home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Charles Surber of Clinton officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope. - kbz
