NEWTOWN, Ind. — William R. (Willie) Murray, 79, died unexpectedly at 1:30 p.m. Friday (April 17, 1970) at the home of his niece, Mrs. Agnes Spear, where he had made his home for the past 12 years. Mr. Murray was born Dec. 28, 1890, in Marrowbone, Ky., son of George Washington and Martha Alice Anderson Murray. He married Eliza Emma Clark on Dec. 4, 1910, in Marrowbone. She preceded him in death on June 21, 1956. He had spent most of his life in Warren County, and had been a coreman at Harrison Steel Casting Company for a number of years, retiring in 1957. Re was a member of a non-denominational church. Surviving are a son, John A. of Williamsport; a daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Johnson of Jonesboro; two brothers, Clarence of DuBre, Ky., Ira of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruben (Cora) Clark of DuBre, Mrs. Clarence (Nora) Norris of Tipton; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters and two sons. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Monday at the DeSutter Funeral Chapel in Attica, with the Rev. Fred Croft of Hillsboro officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. EST Sunday at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W
