MYERS, Cornelia Frances Spencer - 1909

Source: Iva Lewis Obituary Scrapbook

Sunday evening C. M. Spencer received a telegram from Danville, Ill., stating that his sister Mrs. J C. Myers, of that city was critically ill. Monday morning Mr. and Mrs. Spencer went to Danville on the first train, but arrived too late, deceased having passed away at five o’clock Monday morning and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer did not reach the city until ten o’clock. She was a grand and noble woman and possessed of all the good traits which are familiar to the Spencer family. The remains were brought to State Line Wednesday where enterment was made. She survived by five daughters, two brothers and a host of other relatives and friends who will be pained to learn of her death. – jlr
