Hamilton MYERS, 92, a retired Veedersburg farmer, died Monday at 10:45 a.m. at Rudisill Nursing Home, Covington. He had been a patient there for 5 years and in failing health for 7 years. He married Iva Maude Livengood in 1904 and she preceded him in death in 1963. He was a member of Hillsboro Masons Wallace Low 12 club and Prairie Chapel Christian Church. Surviving a brother, Alva Myers of Hillsboro and a sister, Mrs. Leonard Suitors of Marshall. Sever Mortuary Veedersburg has charge of arrangements. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sever Mortuary with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

He had been in failing health for 7 years. Born Sept 2, 1873, he was a son of Eli & Delphine Myers. He married Jan 6, 1904 to Iva Maude Livengood who died June 6, 1963. Mr. Myers was a member of the Paririe Creek Christian Church, Hillsboro Masonic Lodge 385 and Low Twelve Club of Wallace. Survivors include a brother, Alva Myers of Hillsboro and sister, Mrs. Leonard Suitors of Marshall. Funeral services are announced for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sever Mortuary in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.


Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.
