John C. Myers, 71, 123 W. Main St., Attica, died at Home Hospital, Lafayette, Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2:55 p.m., shortly after admission.
He was born at Attica March 13, 1913, the son of Ralph and Cleanus Campbell Myers. He had been a lifelong resident of Attica. He was married in 1940 to Louella Bevers, who preceded in death in 1948. He had attended Attica schools and had been associated with the used furniture business in Attica for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Russell Lee, Chicago; Jerry, Kingsland, Ga., and John, Fredricksburg, W. Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Davis, Carnville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Shonkwiler, Attica, and Mrs. Jennie Parker, Route 3, Lafayette (Americus), and a dear friend, Josephine Cadwalder, Attica, and 11 grandchildren.
Private funeral services were in the Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, today (Monday) at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Byron Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. -s-
