Covington – Smith Myers, age 68, retired farmer died suddenly from a heart attack suffered at his home here Thursday evening about 8 o’clock. He had not been ill and the attack was unexpected. Mr. Myers came to this community about 48 years ago from North Caroline when he was 20 years of age. He had lived here since then. Mr. Myers was twice married, first to Miss Anna Thompson who died in 1937 and then to Mrs. Susie Davis who also preceded him in death. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Thelma martin of Danville, Ill. There also are several nieces and nephews living in NC. – kbz
