WH “Harry” Padgett, died Sunday night about 10:30 after suffering an acute heart attack at his home on S. Mill Street in Veedersburg. A retired farmer, Mr. Padgett had been ill with pneumonia when the heart attack occurred. He was born in Perrysville Dec 21, 1870 the son of William and Mary Hughest Padgett. He was married Dec 24, 1907 to Rosa Jane Byerley, who survives along with three sons, Marquess and Floyd, both of Crawfordsville; Roy of Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Nyle C. Gookins of Attica; Mrs. Laverne Wilkinson of Veedersburg; a brother, Thomas of Urbana, Ill; and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Kennedy of Eugene. Funeral services were held on Wed afternoon at the Veedersburg Christian Church with Rev. Million and the Rev. Bensmiller officiating. Burial was in the Bonebrake Cemetery
