Luther Berel Painter, son of Franklin and Mary Dellen Painter died suddenly at his home, south of Covington at 12:30 Wednesday morning. He was born February 7, 1893 in Clay County, Indiana and was married to Anna Eliza Hadley. His death was attributed to an acute coronary embolism by coroner Charles Fishero. Funeral services will be Friday March 19 at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington.

Covington—Luther Berel Painter passed away at 12:30 Wednesday morning at his home south of Covington, where he had lived twelve years.
  He was born Feb. 7, 1893 in Clay County, Ill., the son of Franklin Ellsworth and Mary Ellen Dellen Painter. He married Anna Eliza Hoodley Dec. 24, 1917.
  Survivors are the wife, six children, two brothers and three sisters.
  Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 at the Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. E. E. McConnell officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – thanks to S&E
