Mellott — Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro for Miss Erma Palin, age 78, a former Mellott resident. She died at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Harris Sanitorium in Indianapolis. She had been ill since fracturing her hip three months ago. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wingate. Born near Wingate, she was the daughter of Winfield and Mary Haas Palin. She had resided in Indianapolis for the past 35 years where she had been employed as a saleswoman. Survivors include a cousin, Rex Claypool of Mellott.   --typed by Walt W
