Mattie Palmer, 76, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg, died unexpectedly Monday in her residence. She was a member of Centennial Church. Born June 2, 1907, in Marion County, Ky, the daughter of Robert & Effie Cartale Arvin. She married Clyde Palmer June 22, 1927. He preceded her in death Aug 18, 1969. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Haga of Covington and Lois Clouser of Panoma California; three sisters, Bessie Tunin of Waynetown; Kathy Arvin of Crawfordsville, three brothers, William Arvin of Crawfordsville,Robert Arvin of Shelbyville and Charles Arvin of Crawfordsville and 5 grandchildren. She was preced in death by a daughter, a sister, a brother and a grandchild. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman with the Rev. Glenn Ray Jr., officiating. Bur. Centennial Cem. Friends may call 2-4 and after 7 Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mattie Palmer, 76, RR 2, Veedersburg, died Monday, October 3, at her home.
Born June 22, 1907, she was the daughter of Robert and Effie Cariole Arvin. On June 22, 1927, she married Clyde Palmer, who died August 18, 1969. On July 7, 1971, she married Glenn Palmer who died March 13, 1978.
She was a member of Centennial Church and the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Haga of Covington and Mrs. Lois Clouser of Pomona, California; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Tunin of Waynetown, Mrs. Virginia Oliver of Indianapolis, and Katherine Arvin of Crawfordsville; three brothers, Robert Arvin of Shelbyville and Willard and Charles Arvin, both of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, sister, a brother and a grandchild.
Services were conducted today (Thursday) at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Glenn Ray Jr. officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery. – thanks to S
