NEWTOWN — Funeral services were held for Mrs. Sibbie Palmore, 92, of Hammond, Ind. Mrs. Palmore, a Fountain County native, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Compton. She was the sister of Mrs. Mirble Wood of Newtown. Born on Nov. 29, 1875, she was the daughter of James and Louisa Drollinger Furr. She was married on Feb. 24, 1895, to Alvin Palmore who preceded her in death five years ago. The deceased was a member of a Hammond Christian Church. Surviving besides Mrs. Compton and Mrs. Wood are another daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Bordman of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Ratcliff of McAllen, Tex., and Mrs. Guyola Mosborough of Fresno, Calif.; a son, Marian Palmore of Tampa, Fla., and a brother, Paul Furr of Fresno. NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) —Mrs. Sibbie Palmore of Hammond, Ind., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Beulah Compton, Hammond, Friday evening (March 1, 1968). Death was unexpected. The daughter of James and Louisa Drollinger Furr, she was born Nov. 29, 1875 in Fountain County, Ind. She was married Feb. 24, 1895 to Alvin Palmore who died in 1963. Surviving besides the daughter in Hammond are a son, Marian, Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Bordman, Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Mirble Wood of Newtown, Mrs. Florence Ratcliff of McAllen, Texas, and Mrs. Guyola Mosborough of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Paul Furr of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
