Waynetown—Mary Parish, 94, Route 1, Waynetown, died at 5:10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 1989, at the DeSoto Memorial Hospital, Acadia, Fla.

  She was born Sept. 21, 1894, in the family home in the Wesley community east of Waynetown. She had lived there all of her life and attended Waynetown High School.

  She was married Sept. 5, 1915 to Terrence Parish, who preceded her in death June 7, 1978.

She was the recipient of the Century Farm Award from the state of Indiana.

  She was a lifelong member of the Wesley Methodist Church and a charter member of Wesley Extension Club.
  Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Everett (Dorothy) Reed, Noblesville; Mrs. C. W. (Thelma) Banta, Route 1, New Richmond; Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Rafferty, Hillsboro; Mrs. Robert (Margarite Lee) Hinds, Indianapolis, and Miss Mary Francis Parish, at home; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren.

  Friends may call after 3 p.m. today (Friday) at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown. Funeral services will be there at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery, near Waynetown. – thanks to S
