Veedersburg - Charles "Bud" Parker, 70 of Rt 2, Veedersburg died Thursday morning at his home southwest of Hillsboro where he had lived since birth. He retired from farming in 1980.  During the winter months since 1981, he had resided in Punta Gorda, Fla. He was a member of Scotts Prairie Church near Hillsboro member and past master of Wallace Masonic Lodge 495, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, the Rockville Elks Lodge and the Wallace Order of Eastern Star Chapter 415.  

He was a 1936 graduate of Hillsboro HS a graduate of Utterback-Brown Business College at Danville, Ill and attended Indiana University. Mr. Parker was born June 20, 1918 on the farm where he lived to Charles L. and Ethel Thomas Parker. He married Marion K. Nesbitt of Hillsboro on June 14, 1941. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughter, Jo Ellen Pilecki of Michigan City and Cheryl Rezabek of Burton, Ohio; a brother, Gerald Parker of Fort Myers, Fla and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Lance Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. - kbz

Veedersburg—Charles “Bud” Parker, 70, Route 2, Veedersburg, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 1989 at his home south and west of Hillsboro.

  He was born June 20, 1918 on the farm where he lived, the son of Charles and Ethel Thomas Parker. He was married June 14, 1941 to Marian Nesbitt of Hillsboro, who survives.

  He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1936 and from Utterback-Brown Business College in Danville and attended Indiana University.

  He retired from farming in 1980, living on the farm all his life. He was a member of Scotts Prairie Church, member and past master of Wallace Masonic Lodge 495, Wallace OES Chapter 415, Scottish Rite Body of Indianapolis and Rockville Elks Club.
  Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, JoEllen Pilecki, Michigan City, and Cheryl Rezabek, Burton, Ohio; a brother, Gerald, Fort Myers, Fla., and three grandchildren.
