Mellott, Dec 28 - Funeral services for the late Dr. John Parker were
held at the South Church near here this morning. Rev. Bailey being in
charge of the services. The body was taken to Waynetown and interment
was in the Masonic Cemetery at that place. Dr. Parker had been in
declining health for a number of years and his death occurred Saturday.
He had been engaged in the practice of medicine at Mellott for many
years. He is survived by a widow, one son, Alfred Parker of Anderson,
Ind and one daughter, Mrs. Ollie Hanna. He also leaves three brothers,
George Parker of this place, Lawson Parker of Portland, Oregon and James
Parker of New Richmond and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie E. Warrick of
Shirley and Mrs. Sarah M. Hankins of Cates. -- typed by kbz
