PARKER, William C.

William C. Parker of Williamsport, age 67, died Tuesday, August 9, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, December 10, 1915, the son of James A. and Edna Smith Parker. August 2, 1941, he married Rosa Jean Wheeler, who survives. A member of the Covington Church of Christ and Williamsport American Legion Post, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a welder and heavy equipment operator and was self employed several years, had owned Parker Logging and Veneer Company at Boswell and in 1974 retired from Hyster Company at Danville, Illinois.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Robbie Jean Warrick of Hillsboro; a son, William Michael of Crawfordsville; his mother, Edna Parker Swindler of Hillsboro; a sister, Naomi Short of Boswell; a brother, Jack of Hillsboro; and five grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Stephen W. Denehie officiating. Military graveside rites and burial were in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport.
