Memphis, Tenn - Karen Ann Parr, 52, Memphis, Tenn, formerly of Covington and North Webster died April 26, 1996 in her home from complications of breast cancer. She was born July 17, 1943, the daughter of Joseph K. and
Kathryn Underwood Burrin. She married Jack Parr June 12, 1966 (Bk 40 p 429 Fountain County Indiana Marriages) in Covington. He survives. She was a graduate of Covington HS and Hanover College. She obtained a master of science degree in education from Purdue and certification in counseling from Indiana University. At Wawasee HS she unselfishly helped many teenagers through difficult times with her compassion and devotion.. She was a member of Phi Mu and Psi Iota Xi Sororities.
Surviving, besides the husband are a son, Drew Parr, Indianapolis; two daughters, Amy (JJ) Sinnema, Lakewood, Ohio and Suzanne Parr, Chicago, Ill; a grandson, Ryan Andrew Sinnema; and a brother, Roger (Sandy) Burrin, Bloomington.
Funeral services were held April 29 in North Webster United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. Memorial contributions can be made to the Karen Parr Counseling Support Fund at
