Elmer A. Pataki of Georgetown, Illinois, age 71, died Tuesday night, August 2, in Long Time Care Nursing Home at Beardstown, Illinois. He was born at Westville, Illinois, August 1, 1912, the son of Andrew and Maria Kobal Pataki. He married Gladys Sykes, who survives. He was a member of the United Mine Workers and had worked at the Peabody Mine at Westville, the V-day Mine near Danville and at Taylorville.

Survivors include his mother; two sons, Julius of Beardstown and Don of Covington; two brothers, John of Westville and Louis of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren and one great grandson.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning in Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown with Rev. Leon Korb officiating. Burial was in Georgetown Cemetery. -s
