MELLOTT — Scot Alan Pattengale, 42, Michigantown, and formerly of Mellott, died at 9:07 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2007 in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. He had been ill for the past three months. He was born Aug. 19, 1964 in Fountain County, the son of Leslie and Virginia L. (Keller) Pattengale. He was raised in Mellott, graduating from Fountain Central High School in 1983. He moved to Frankfort in 1998 and had lived in Michigantown since September 2006. He worked as an assembler for the NHK Seating of America, Inc. in Frankfort for the past seven years. He was a member of the Mellott Community Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. He enjoyed old hot rods. His astrological sign was a Leo and he collected lions. Survivors include: his mother of Mellott; companion of nine years, Barb Davis, Michigantown; a daughter, Brandy M. Pattengale, Michigantown; a son, Randy A. Pattengale, Lafayette; his grandmother, Mary Austin, Mellott; a brother, Darrell Pattengale, Mellott: a sister, Tracy (Michael) Gray, Gas City; a niece, Kayla Ashmore, Gas City; a nephew, Dylan Ashmore, Gas City; and a grandson, Lucas Cart, Engalls. He was preceded in death by his father and an uncle, Tom Pattengale. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastors Mark Mowery and Gene Davis officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery.
