KINGMAN — Delena Patterson, 68, a retired school teacher who taught in several Fountain County schools, died at 7: 30 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. She had taught in Steam Corner, Veedersburg, Rabb and Covington schools. She was a member of Scotts Prairie Christian Church, Yeddo OES, North Millcreek Extension Club, Ma Ma Ru Club of Veedersburg, Friendship Club, and Fountain-Warren Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Patterson was born in Fountain County on Jan. 21, 1908, a daughter of Arnet and Ruby Tinder Robinson. She married Vincent "Pat" Patterson on Jan. 11, 1930. Surviving are the husband; two sons, Leon of Indianapolis and Lowell of Harrisburg, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Rosalie Griffin of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Leona Ranch of Glendale, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday in Woodrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
