VEEDERSBURG — Cheryl Kay
(Colson) Shaw Paxton, 60, of rural Veedersburg. died in the St. Elizabeth
Medical Center, Lafayette, on Friday, November 16, 2007, at 2:35 p.m. Cheryl
was born in Danville, Illinois, on March 19, 1947. She was the daughter of the
late Elmer W. and Emily Pate Colson. She has lived most of her life in Danville
and for the past ten years in rural Veedersburg. Cheryl graduated from
Schlarman H. S. in Danville in 1965. She later was the Valedictorian of her graduating
class at Danville Area Community College in 1979-1980. Cheryl worked as
Personnel Administrator for the Old National Bank in Danville for 14 years. She
later became Personal Secretary to Dr. Jacobs, the President of Danville Area
Community College, until her illness. jlr
