Clarence L. Payton, Star Route, Weyauwega age 73 passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at his home. He was born Oct 25, 1898 near Hillsboro, Ind. He married May 20, 1919 to Edna Miller of Alamo, Ind and she preceded him in death May 1954. He was a retired farmer and trucker and lived in the Wallace-Alamo, Ind area until 1965 when he moved to the Fremont, Weyauwega area. He was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. Survivors are a daughter, Janet Elder, Indianapolis, Ind, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Eula Payton with whom he made his home, Star Rote, Weyauwega; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Selby and Mrs. Myrtle Luzader, both of Alamo; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and an infant brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, Ind, with burial in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery, Wallace, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of service. The Cline, Hanson and Dahlke Funeral Home, Weauwega, are in charge of arrangements. kbz
