Veedersburg, Ind. - Glen Payton, 75, of 512 S. Main, died unexpectedly at his home at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday (June 26, 1973) of an apparent heart attack. Born April 17 1898, in Fountain County, he was the son of Benjamin and Rebecca McDade Payton. He was married Nov. 25, 1928, in Parke county to Zula Peevler, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Donald of Veedersburg and Duane of West Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. William (Lois) Edwards of Kaoehe, Hawaii; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and three sisters. Mr. Payton was a member of the New Century Church of Veedersburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Youngblood officiating. Burail will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
