ATTICA — Thomas E. Pearl, 70, Attica, died at 11:06 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 in St. Elizabeth Seton Speciality Hospital, Lafayette. He had been in failing health since August. He was born March 13, 1937 in Lafayette, the son of John and Martha (Snouwaert) Pearl. He was formerly married to Lolene S. Cooper in 1965 in Covington. He was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School. He worked at C & D Technologies in Attica for 40 years, retiring in 2002 He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica and the Eagles Lodge #2596 of Attica. Survivors include: two sons, Thomas E. Pearl Jr. and Richard A. Pearl, both of Attica; a daughter, Dodie K. Smith, Attica; two sisters, Jean (Joseph) Brickler, Brownsburg and Catherine Young, Benton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Chris, Nicole, Josh, Noah and Dillon; and four great-grandchildren, Skyler, Scottie, Emily and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gerald; three sisters, Norma Pearl, Helen Haddock and Pat Pearl; a step brother, Jack Pearl; and a step sister, Margaret Leath. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight (Monday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with a rosary service being held at 4:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Attica, with the Rev.
