ATTICA - Ancil Earl Pearson, age 72, of Attica, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at his residence. He had been in ill health nearly a year. Mr. Pearson was born in Warren County Oct. 23, 1896, the son of Joshua and Myrtle Pearson. He was married in 1933 to Mazie Flowers at Indianapolis and she survives. He moved from Warren County to Indianapolis in 1920 and was employed at the U.S. Rubber Company for 40 years. He retired in 1962 and moved to Attica. He was a member of the Attica Christian Church. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one brother, Harold of Independence; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lucas of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Dorothea Brizzey of Indianapolis and Mrs. Marie Landon of Attica; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. --- typed by CA.
