Wingate – Mable L. Pearson, 92 of Wingate, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Pearson was born March 19, 1896 in Veedersburg.  Her marriage on Aug 13, 1913 was to Willis Pearson and he died May 30, 1961.  Mrs. Pearson retired in 1968 from the former Loeb’s Department Store in Lafayette where she worked for many years in the store’s tea room. She was the oldest member of the New Hope Chapel Church. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Pearson of Crawfordsville; and two daughters, Mrs. Geneva

Ferguson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. James (Minnie) Gayler of Wingate. Service will be Wednesday in Waynetown. – kbz

Wingate—Mable L. Pearson, 92, Wingate, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 1989 in Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville.
  She was born March 19, 1896 in Veedersburg. She was married Aug. 13, 1913 to Willis Pearson, who preceded her in death May 30, 1961.

  She retired in 1968 from the former Loeb’s Department Store in Lafayette, where she worked for many years in the store’s tearoom.

  She was the oldest member of the New Hope Chapel Church.

  Surviving are a son, Lawrence, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Ferguson Crawfordsville, and Mrs. James (Minnie) Gayler, Wingate; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with Junior Haas officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate. – thanks to s
