ATTICA - Mrs. Verna Louise Pearson, age 77, of Attica Rt. 3, died at 1:34 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at an out of town hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 24, 1968. Mrs. Pearson was born in Veedersburg July 24, 1891, the daughter of George and Mary Largent. She was married to Arthur Milbert Pearson, who preceded her in death May 11, 1949. She had resided in the Attica area most of her life and was graduated from the Veedersburg High School. She was a member of the Independence EUB Church. Survivors include: one son, Bowater Pearson of Attica Rt. 3; five daughters, Mrs. Alberta Reitz of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Leoma Gilcrist of Thompson, Ill., Mrs. Jane Duffey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Holyfield of North Town, Pa., and Mrs. Lois Dawson of Otterbein; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Pearson of Wingate; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Eldon Brown, pastor of the Riverview United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. --- typed by CA.
