DANA, Ind. (CNS) — Robert Pemberton, 85, of Dana, died suddenly Wednesday (Jan. 31, 1968) at 9 p.m. in Danville, Ill., where he was visiting his son-in-law and daughter. Born Oct. 2, 1882 in Illinois, he was the son of C. C. and Martha Hopper Pemberton. A retired carpenter, he was a member of the Methodist Church and was a fifty year member of the Modern Woodmen of America Lodge. He was married to Nellie Thomas with whom he celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in February, 1956. She died in January, 1964. A son, Frank, died in September, 1967. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary M. Bord of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Carrington of South Bend and Mrs. Mary Eggleston of Belle Glade, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. (EST) Saturday at the Kersey-Overpeck Funeral Home in Dana with the Rev. C. H. Loveland and the Rev. Kenneth Lovelady officiating. Burial will be in Toronto Cemetery.
