COVINGTON — Frank R. Peters, age 78, a resident of the Covington community 25 years, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient there for 18 days and had been ill for the past two months. He formerly resided in Blue Island, Ill. Mr. Peters had been employed as a meat cutter and worked in grocery stores most of his life. He was employed at the Grab-It-Here Store in Covington for 10 years. He was born in Chicago, Ill., Aug. 31, 1890, the son of Frank William and Jessie McLaughry Peters. He was married in 1952 to Pearl Roach Gerstly, who survives. He was a member of the Christian Science Church and the Modern Woodmen. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Robert Griffin of Encino, Calif.; two sisters of Blue Island, Ill.; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. P. J. Hamilton officiated and burial was in Mt.
