ATTICA – Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie J. Peterson, age 86, of Attica Rt. 4, who died late Thursday morning, Jan. 29, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport. The Rev. Phil Lutz officiated and burial was in the Rainsville Cemetery. Mrs. Peterson, who had been a patient at the Alward Nursing Home here several months, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She had been in failing health the past year. She was born Feb. 7, 1883, near Bismarck, Ill., the daughter of William and Mary Prouse Wood. In 1900 she was married to G. Frank Beason in Warren County. He preceded her in death in 1952, and she later married Philip Peterson, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Rainsville Methodist church. Survivors include: one son, Lawrence Beason of Attica Rt. 4; one grandchild; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lida Parr of Lafayette. – jlr
