Mrs. Hattie Pettit, wife of Rev. WF Pettit, died last Wednesday at Shawnee Mound. The funeral was conducted by Revs. WH Hickman and TWO Switzer of Crawfordsville. Rev. Pettit is the Pastor of the ME Church at Shawnee Mound. Note: Ended-up Hattie was poisoned and William F., her husband, the “good reverend” went to prison for the crime after a lengthy unreal trial - he died there in 1893. - kbz
