PEVELER, Lemuel

Lem Peveler, former Veedersburg resident, died at his home in Danville, Ill Tuesday March 4, following an illness since Feb 23 when he was stricken with paralysis. He was born in Veedersburg on Oct 6, 1870 the son of Leonard and Amelia Peveler. For 30 years past he has resided in Danville. Mr. Peveler was a highly respected citizen and had many friends in this vicinity. He visited in Veedersurg a short time ago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Oilar, Veedersburg; Mrs. Eunice Furr, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Byron F Myers Veedersburg; Mrs. Alma Henry, Bloomington Ind and one brother, Chris Peveler , Frankfort. His wife preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at Danville at 10 o'clcok Thursday following which the body was returned to Veedersburg where burial was made at the Bonebrake cemetery. -- kbz
