PHILLIPS, Bess Butler - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Bess Phillips of Indianapolis, age 90, died Monday, February 21, in Community Hospital at Indianapolis. She was born at Tilton, Illinois, December 24, 1892, the daughter of Samuel and Susie Graham Butler. She was the widow of W. O. Phillips, who died in August of 1974. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Tilton United Church and the Order of Eastern Star at Danville, Illinois. She had moved to Indianapolis about ten years ago.

  Surviving are a daughter Martha Gibson of Indianapolis; a sister, Anna Oteham of Covington; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James.

  Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at the Tilton United Church with Rev. Orin Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville, Illinois. Barrick and son Funeral Home of Danville was in charge of arrangements. – s
