PHILPOTT, James - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

James Phipott, aged 72 years a pioneer hardware merchant at Yeddo died at his home in that town Monday monring at 7:10 o'clock following a short illness of heart rouble. He was s/o James and Abagail Phipott, pioneer residents of the Yeddo Community. He was twice married, first to Flora Willis, who preceded him in death. To this union were born 3 children: Mrs. Lucy Furr of Danville, Ill and Daisy and Dora, now deceased. He was again married to Melinda McCormick, who surivives him. Besides the daughter he leaves 3 brothers, Harris Philpott of Hillsboro, WM. Philpott of Kingman and John Philpott of Yeddo and one sister, Mrs. Elzada Grimes of Wallace. Mr. Philpott had been in business in Yeddo for the past 40 years and was a member of the Christian Church and of the Masonic Lodge. .. this one may have come from Betty D - thanks if so :) Just thanks period for being one of my best genealogy buds, Betty!
