Myrle Leland Philpott, age 46, died unexpectedly at 1 p. m. Monday, July 17, at his home in Veedersburg. He had been ill since July 4, but returned to work Monday morning. Mr. Philpott became ill at work at the Veedersburg Hydraulic Press Brick Co. and went home at noon. Born Sept. 12, 1914, in Veedersburg he was a son of William and Anna Ocheltree Philpott. He was married in 1936 to Mildred Keller, who survives. Mr. Philpott was a member of the Veedersburg Masonic Lodge 491. Survivors include his wife, two children, Mrs. Phyllis Gossett of Kingman and Leland at home; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Swank of Attica and Mrs. Nedra Brehm of Joliet, Ill.; a brother, Paul of Veedersburg, and one grandchild. 1 Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday, July 20, at the Fishero Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wingate. --typed by Walt W
