Source: Attica Star Friday December 7, 1906

Ada Lawson was born May 14, 1871, died November 26 1906.   She was the daughter of James and Ella (the later deceased) Lawson, was one of eight children, of whom she was the first to be called away. She was married to James R. Phipps in 1890. To them were born eight children, four dying in infancy. In her girlhood she loved the Bible school, was converted in a revival meeting at Friends Union and united with the church at that place. Her last illness, consumption, was of several months duration but was borne without murmur or complaint, exhibiting the fortitude that had characterized her through life. Funeral services were conducted at the Harveysburg church by Sarah T. McKey, after which burial took place at Wolf Creek cemetery. ā€“ thanks to ā€œSā€
