PIERCE, Pearl Miller

Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

ATTICA — Mrs. Pearl Pierce, 80, wife of Raleigh Pierce, 902 Taylor St., died in Community Hospital, Williamsport, at 8 p.m. Thursday. She had been in failing health several months and a patient in the hospital four days. Born in Warren County, she was married first in 1905 to Andrew Beaver who died in 1933. She was married to Mr. Pierce in 1938 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Surviving with the husband are two sons, Ralph Beaver of Beech Grove and Chester Beaver of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cole of Attica; two stepsons, James Beaver of St. Louis and Robert Pierce of Attica; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Biggs of Williamsport, and two sisters, Mrs. O. Leak of Battle Ground and Mrs. Louis Miller of Springfield, Mass.   --typed by Walt W
