PERRYSVILLE — Funeral services for Ernest Ping, age 50, of Perrysville Rt. 1, who died at 6:45 a. m. Thursday, Jan. 13, were held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Grover Williams Jr. officiated and burial was in Hicks Cemetery, west of Perrysville. Mr. Ping died in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient since Jan. 4. He had been employed as a school bus driver for 24 years and had resided most of his life in Warren, Vermillion and Fountain counties. He was born May 19, 1915, in Warren County, the son of Arthur and Clara Williams Ping. He was married Aug. 1, 1945, to Hazel Conrad, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: his mother, Mrs. Ping of Perrysville Rt. 1; two sons, Dennis E. and Randy, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Marshall and Mrs. Lorrena Richardson, both of Perrysville Rt. 1; and several nieces and nephews.   --typed by Walt W
